2010 Seneca Junior Club Schedule
Dear Future Junior Golfer:
Welcome to another season of fun and exciting junior golf!!!
We appreciate your interest in Seneca Golf Course’s Junior Program. Attached is an application for membership, schedule of events, rules and benefits for all members. The membership fee is $60.00 for the entire summer. Interested in getting a deal? Then look to the last page to see what you can do to join and get membership for half price.
Our program will continue to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyone new to the game or under the age of nine will be in the “LITTLE LINKERS GROUP” and will meet on Tuesday. Participants returning to the program or who have a minimum of two years of golf experience will be in the “MASTERS GROUP” and will meet on Thursdays.
We are asking all of our juniors to register on our website at www.senecagc.com. We will be communicating with everyone throughout the season through this site. From the home page, on the left there is a column that continually scrolls down. Click where it says Register and fill in your information. Please mark yourself as a junior in the age group section. If you have any problems please contact the pro shop.
Juniors that are interested in participating in tournaments this summer, Seneca Golf Course is proud to host the 60th annual Junior Fall City Match Play Championship. We are also hosting one of the Metro Parks Junior Tour events this year. For more information on these and other tournaments see the third page for details.

Note: Little linkers will meet on Tuesdays from 10-11:30 unless otherwise notified. Masters group will meet on Thursdays for instruction from 10:30-11:30AM and will begin tournament Play at noon. In case of inclement weather and we are forced to cancel a session, the session will be integrated into the next week. There will be no make up days!!!

Junior Club Benefits
All paid members will receive the following benefits:
- Half off on membership will be awarded to any junior golfer who has volunteered 80 community service hours to a charitable organization or who has received straight A’s through the entire year. All appropriate documentation must be included with the application in order to receive credit for the membership fee. Documentation may also be faxed to us at 485-1852.
- All instruction during all junior club sessions is included in the membership fee. The only additional cost is for the green fee for those juniors who play.
- Juniors will have access to all equipment, golf clubs, golf balls, teaching aids, or instructional devices for all sessions.
- Junior club members will be able to purchase range balls for practice on their own time at 50% off. ($2.00 per token)
- Any junior club member who wishes to establish an 18-hole handicap will be able to do so through membership of the club. (Free)
Junior Club Rules
- Have Fun!!!
- Boys and girls ages 6-17 are eligible for the club.
- Always, always, always make sure that no one is around you, behind you, or standing too close before swinging a golf club.
- Scores must be kept accurately and honestly at all times.
- Any conduct that is thought to be detrimental to the reputation of the junior club will not be tolerated. Temper tantrums, throwing clubs, and any other behavior thought to be detrimental will not be tolerated.
- All members are expected to do their part to maintain the golf course. This includes throwing trash into the garbage cans, repairing ball marks on the greens, raking bunkers, and replacing divots. Any abuse to the golf course or the clubhouse facilities will result in expulsion from the club.
- All golfers playing the golf course will be required to purchase a green fee from the pro shop counter before teeing off. Cost is $8.50 weekday, $14.75 weekend. Twilight rates are available on the weekends after 4:00 pm for $8.50.
- Any member who wishes to establish a handicap must post all 18-hole scores!
Note: Metro Parks Annual Passes can be purchased for any junior at the cost of $90 per year. A user fee of $1.50 will be charged instead of the normal $8.50 junior rate. However, these Metro Parks Annual Passes are only good on weekdays (Monday – Friday). For more information, please call the Metro Parks office at 456-8100.
